According to reports, in a joint press conference after the talks, Andouble stressed that the assistance of about 8 billion 600 million yen, "will help to improve the living standards of residents of Palestine", and said it would push Japan’s leading west bank development conception of "peace and prosperity corridor" plan. With regard to the interrupted Palestinian Israeli peace talks, Andouble said that as a non permanent member of the UN Security Council, it will contribute to the stability of the middle east". Abbas said, "very looking forward to Japan’s role."". The joint news release announced after the talks said: "the two sides support the solution of the problem between Palestine and Israel, and achieve peaceful and secure coexistence."
